The Vladimir Tiara, Queen Elizabeth II's favorite among her many tiaras

Royal women often wear tiaras to important occasions and Queen Elizabeth II is often seen donning the Vladimir Tiara in many of her official engagements.

No doubt that as the monarch and the head of state of the British Monarchy, she has a vast array of royal jewels, some of them she has come to own through a long line of British monarchs. According to the Town & Country, there is no match for Queen Elizabeth's jewelry box.

That being said, for sure Queen Elizabeth has also many tiaras to choose from but it seems that the Vladimir Tiara is her favorite.

The diamond and pearl tiara is part of the famed Romanov treasures. It was originally owned by Grand Duchess Vladimir or German Princess Marie of Mecklenburg-Schwerin who married the Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich of Russia.

The tiara was bought by Queen Mary, the wife of King George V, and grandmother of Queen Elizabeth.

Perhaps, the tiara's versatility is one of the reasons why Queen Elizabeth favors it. According to the Daily Express, Queen Mary had some work down to it. The tiara's original pearls can be interchanged with 15 emeralds that had belonged to Queen Mary's mother, Mary Adelaide, the original Duchess of Cambridge.

Or, the tiara could also be worn without either its pearl drops or emerald drops.

Other tiaras that Queen Elizabeth has often been seen wearing to official engagements are the George IV State Diadem and the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara.

The George IV State Diadem is made up of a double band of pearls with an intertwined English rose, a Scottish thistle and an Irish shamrock.

The Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara, on the other hand, is the tiara that Queen Elizabeth wore on the photo used for the stamps.
