Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx have never discussed their relationship in public. But since they are Hollywood personalities, that never stopped inaccurate reports to proliferate. The latest rumor that hounded the couple said they planned on moving in together and that allegedly led to the negative response of the 12-year-old Suri Cruise.
The publication NW cited a source claiming that Foxx and Holmes have purchased their first home together. But the young Cruise was reportedly not on board with the idea of living together like a family. The same insider said Cruise reacted in a way that her mother did not imagine and that she did not favor Holmes’s new beau as her new stepdad.
However, Gossip Cop reported that the claims made by NW’s source are inaccurate. The celeb news fact-checking outlet said a spokesperson for Holmes debunked the rumors of them buying a new house and of Cruise getting mad at her mom.
At the moment, Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx reportedly have no plans to live under the same roof. The representative of the actress added that her relationship with her daughter is doing fine.
This is not the first time Holmes and Foxx were rumored to have bought a house together. Previous reports had unverified claims that the Hollywood stars purchased a multimillion-dollar property in New York City, while others said they were scouting for a house to buy in Atlanta. However, all these were also found untrue by Gossip Cop reports.
While Holmes and Foxx do not address their relationship status publicly, they have been seen together more often in recent months. Even though they are not actually buying a house in Atlanta, reports did say the couple was spotted together in the city last month while Foxx was filming for his upcoming movie “Just Mercy.”
Earlier this month, there were also reports that Holmes and Foxx arrived together at a yacht party in New York. Sources at the event told Us Weekly that the two were holding hands as they walked into the venue.
