VIENNA, Austria and RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., Feb. 20, 2018 -- JAGGAER, the world’s largest independent spend management company, has launched a new optimization project with Klüber Lubrication Munich SE & Co. KG, a Freudenberg Group company. With JAGGAER’s digital procurement platform, the providers of specialty lubricants and tribological solutions will strengthen their supplier management and improve communication with their suppliers in order to secure the supply of innovative products and services, competitive prices, and high quality, punctual deliveries. JAGGAER solutions are employed by the world’s leading manufacturers, including half of Fortune’s Global 500 industrial companies.
“With JAGGAER, we’ll create a central and transparent procurement platform so that we can manage and evaluate our suppliers efficiently. The improved quality in communication with our suppliers will help us strengthen our supplier relationships long-term and will contribute positively to our company’s performance,” said Michael Ruhdorfer, Head of Support, Processes and Reporting at Klüber Lubrication.
As part of the optimization project, Klüber Lubrication will create a strong SRM database for managing supplier relationships within their procurement organization. The database will also be used for other important procurement processes. The first phase of the project will focus on implementing digital supplier evaluations based on hard facts. Later on, the new solution will be expanded to include soft facts and action point management so that supplier performance can be monitored efficiently and improved continuously.
Additional modules will be implemented in the following project phases, including modules for digital complaint processing based on QDX standards, integration of SAP contracts, and electronic RFXs. The solutions will be fully integrated into the company’s existing IT and ERP landscape to ensure continuous processes and enable the automatic exchange of documents and information between systems. Ultimately, this will reduce the need for manual data entry. The connection of multiple ERP systems will create a central platform where purchasers will all have access to the same uniform database. With JAGGAER, Klüber Lubrication will strengthen their supplier relationships and save time and costs by making processes more transparent, reducing the manual administrative tasks for both supplier and purchasers, and improving the quality of processes and data.
