The Emmys saw a lot of stars wear a lot of different articles of clothing and Mandy Moore is no different. One of the standout affairs during the event, the star of the hit drama “This Is Us” absolutely sparkled with a Black and Gold dress. It was a particularly special outfit for the singer/actress since she herself called it her “dream dress.”
Sharing a photo of the dress on Instagram before hitting the red carpet, Mandy Moore makes it clear that she absolutely loved her outfit. Actually, the caption makes it clear that she loves everything about that night.
“The dream dress. The dream designer. The dream bff. The dream team,” the caption reads.
Mandy Moore then proceeded to thank all of the people who made her look possible, which is always great to see coming from someone of her standing. As Inquistr notes, all other aspects about her appearance that night were chosen specifically to suit the dress in one way or another. These applied to her sandals, her downplayed makeup, and her hairstyle.
The result is an emphasis on a dress that allowed Mandy Moore to shine brightly during a night where many other stars gleamed with a polished sheen. Unfortunately, she was not nominated for an award for her role, which surprised many of her fans, Cosmopolitan reports. On that note, “This Is Us” did score eight nominations in total, which is a moment that all of the cast can share.
Mandy Moore also posed with Milo Ventimiglia, who plays her dearly departed husband on the show, while they were on the red carpet. Seeing these two together so happy and smiling should make even the most stalwart of fans sob. One thing is clear, though. During the Emmys, Mandy Moore shone just as she was meant to and everything else after that is just details.
