Melania Trump reminded the public about the Military Child Month and told everyone not to forget about them especially in this time of crisis. The FLOTUS is a known supporter of the army and their families, and through the years, she has been actively helping them.
“As our nation comes together in the fight against #COVID19 I ask that you also take time to recognize #MilitaryChildMonth,” the First Lady wrote on her Instagram on April 2. “I am always inspired by the strength and resiliency of military children!”
The #MilitaryChildMonth
Trump always lets the military know that she supports them and she does this by frequently visiting military bases and appearing as their guest. In fact, she made history when she flew via V-22 Osprey, an American multi-mission, tiltrotor military aircraft, during a military bases trip in 2018. She became the first-ever First Lady of the United States to do this.
April has been declared as the Military Child Month, a time when the public should honor the sacrifices made by military families around the world. The occasion also emphasized the “experience of the dependent children of military members serving at home and overseas,” as per Military Benefits.
Melania Trump spoke with Canada’s Sophie Trudeau
In any case, the FLOTUS was revealed to have spoken to the wife of Canada’s prime minister, Sophie Trudeau who was diagnosed positive for COVID-19 last month. They have communicated via a phone call and Trump called after hearing the news that she has recovered from the highly contagious infection. Melania Trump simply expressed her well-wishes for the wife of Justin Trudeau.
Sophie tested positive for coronavirus infection on March 12 and luckily her children showed no symptoms but they still went to isolate themselves to be sure. Her recovery was announced on Saturday.
Meanwhile, at the White House, Melania Trump and her family are also practicing social distancing so most of the staff in the executive home were sent home. It was reported that only a few staff were left to serve the First Family. Most of the people, including their secretaries are now working from home.
