The manga is taking a break from the battle against Shigaraki that has been the focus of the series in the latest installments. However, “My Hero Academia” chapter 288 is still something to look forward to, especially for those who would love to see Toga reunited with Ochako.
‘My Hero Academia’ chapter 288 leaks, spoilers: Toga and Ochako meet again
“My Hero Academia” chapter 288 leaks are out and one of the early details available online is the chapter’s title. Known sources of leaks and fan translations report the title is “Rescue!! Takeo” but the problem there is the series does not have a character by that name.
That leads to the question of who is this Takeo and why is he so important that his name lands in the “My Hero Academia” chapter 288 title. Well, the truth is there is no one in the series named Takeo and there will not be a new character in the upcoming chapter. Takeo is a fake persona Toga will use to lure in Ochako, according to the leaks.
In “My Hero Academia” chapter 288, Toga is reportedly transforming herself into an old woman. Ochako and the others will help the civilians evacuate as Gigantomachia fast-approaching and rampages in Nawa City. Upon transformation, Toga calls for Ochako to save her bedridden husband named “Takeo.”
Aside from Toga’s combat prowess, she is also an expert on disguises and shapeshifting, thanks to her Quirk called Transform. She is apparently going to use it in “My Hero Academia” chapter 288 as she wants to have an interaction with Ochako again.
One of the odd qualities of Toga is her seeming twisted perception of being friends with some of the heroes. And she is going to demonstrate that again in “My Hero Academia” chapter 288. Once she reveals herself, Toga will reportedly tell Ochako how “cute” she is and that she wants to be like Ochako.
‘My Hero Academia’ chapter 288 release date, where to read
“My Hero Academia” chapter 288 appears to end by hinting at Ochako and Toga’s fight. This also means that the upcoming chapter focuses on the other protagonists dealing with Gigantomachia, so not much of an update from Deku and the others this week.
Weekly Shonen Jump is coming out a few days earlier than usual so “My Hero Academia” chapter 288 and the other titles will have their new installments available on Friday, Oct. 16. Free digital copies are officially available through the websites and mobile apps of Manga Plus and VIZ Shonen Jump.
