“One Piece” Episode 857 is going to feature the most epic scenes of battle in the Luffy VS Katakuri fight yet, and it could be its final phase. If not, the episode following that could see the tussle finally ending, with Luffy being victorious by the end. This has always been guaranteed to be the result, but the Straw Hat captain has never had to struggle so much to secure victory as with Katakuri.
It’s clear to everyone that Katakuri has been the toughest opponent that Luffy has ever had to face, with the exception perhaps of Bartholomew Kuma who wiped out his entire crew. In most of the boss battles that the stretchy protagonist entered, they were rarely one-sided. In the case with the Sweets commander, Luffy was severely outmatched, but “One Piece” Episode 857 is about to change that.
After getting rattled following his face being exposed, Katakuri’s concentration is interrupted enough for Luffy to launch a series of damaging strikes. This is obvious to see when watching the preview trailer for “One Piece” Episode 857. Luffy actually manages to send Katakuri flying through several pillars.
By the end of the preview, it would seem that Katakuri is disappearing, but fans should not be fooled. This is basically where the Sweets Commander regains his composure and his abilities to see into the future. Once again, Luffy will struggle to hit him, but the fight has become a lot less one-sided after this. If the anime follows the pattern of the manga, “One Piece” Episode 857 could see the closing end of the fight.
“One Piece” Episode 857 is expected to air on Oct. 14, OtakuKart reports. If this is going to be the end of the Luffy VS Katakuri fight, fans are definitely not going to want to miss this.
