'Outlander' Season 2, Episode 11 Spoilers: "Vengeance Is Mine" Threatens to Separate Claire, Jamie; Captain Jack to Return?

'Outlander' television series on Starz starring Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe

‘Outlander’ episode 11 threatens to separate Claire and Jamie as teased on the promo. As season 2 nears its finale, it was speculated that Captain Jack may make a return appearance to stir more trouble for the two.

The synopsis on Carter Matt stated, “Claire and the Highlanders are sent north after the Jacobite leaders decide to halt their march on London.  A band of redcoats makes trouble for the Scots, leading to a most unexpected reunion for Claire.”

Although the preceding episode sealed an incredible victory for Jamie (Sam Heughan) and the Jacobite army during the battle at Prestonpans, the war has not yet been won. Claire (Caitriona Balfe) would need to seek extraordinary measures to change a rather grim fate as the series nears the end of season 2.

In the teaser for “Vengeance Is Mine”, Jamie and his men are trapped in an area where they are forced to surrender to a band of redcoats. Jamie tells the group that he is willing to give himself up since he was the one they were after. Claire reassures him, “We’ll go find each other. Trust in that.”

According to Unreality TV, the ferocious Captain Jack could be making an appearance in the upcoming episode after tormenting the series’ protagonists in season 1. Jonathan Randall, otherwise known as “Black Jack” for his notorious reputation, was the original books’ primary villain. Claire’s 20th century husband Frank traces his heritage to the British cavalry officer.

‘Outlander’ is a British drama series based on the historical time travel novels by Diana Gabaldon. It was created for the small screen by Ronald D. Moore and premiered on Starz on August 2014. The network renewed the series for its third and fourth season.

Season 2’s episode 11 is scheduled to air on Starz on June 18, 2016.
