WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., Dec. 19, 2017 -- Platform Specialty Products Corporation (NYSE:PAH) ("Platform") announces the recent purchase of shares of Platform’s common stock by its Chairman, Martin E. Franklin, and Berggruen Holdings, Ltd. (“Berggruen Holdings”). Mr. Franklin and Berggruen Holdings each purchased 500,000 shares. Nicolas Berggruen, a director of Platform, is one of the directors of Berggruen Holdings. Yesterday, Mr. Franklin filed a Form 4 with the Securities and Exchange Commission announcing these open market purchases.
