Starbucks baristas complain on Twitter of complicated orders

  • Most baristas dislike complicated orders, but many still post images to social media, which seems to induce customers to put in even more outlandish orders.

A tweet by a Starbucks barista has set off a 200,000 like reaction that prompted other of the coffee chain's employees to share their photos of the most complicated digital orders they've ever received.

In her tweet, barista Josie shared an image featuring featured 13 modifications to his Carmel Crunch Frappuccino and a caption about why she wants to quit her job,

The order, dated May 1 from a customer named Edward, included what appears to be five pumps of Frappuccino roast coffee, seven pumps of dark caramel sauce, and a pump of a honey blend.

Other baristas attempted to top the ridiculous order with photos of orders they have taken.

Some of the more popular pics included a 32 modification monstrosity and a 31-modification order that supposedly comes in every other week.

The promise of endless drink customization is one of Starbucks' big selling points. For instance, the chain now offers four different types of non-dairy milk.
