Fans are hoping for “Steven Universe” season 7 since the sixth installment that was also called “Steven Universe Future” concluded so fast. The last season offered just 10 episodes, and it concluded in just a month. In December 2019, the stories were released every weekend, and it features two episodes per day.
Renewal announcement
There is no announcement about “Steven Universe” season 7 yet, and up to now, there is no word from Cartoon Network. However, it seems that Rebecca Sugar already assured the fans that there will be more seasons coming up.
“I can’t say much yet, but there will be more,” the show creator told Comic Book last year. There is one more big thing that I really want to say. That's coming up.”
When she was pushed to say more about the future of “Steven Universe,” Sugar advised the fans to watch the movie and other shows that they will be releasing, “I'm trying to think of what I can say. Just please keep watching. The events of the show, the events of the movie, they all matter.”
To sum it up, while there is no confirmation yet from Cartoon Network, Rebecca Sugar clearly has more plans; thus, “Steven Universe” season 7 is highly likely. Then again, it should no be confused for “Steven Universe Future” because it will not have a second season anymore.
Did “Steven Universe Future” ended?
As said before, there is no season 2 for this, so it means it already ended with season 1. This is because it was not meant to have a continuation since it was only an epilogue for the “Steven Universe” season 5, as per The Cinemaholic. It was meant to clarify things in the previous installment, so that was the end of it.
Lastly, as for “Steven Universe” season 7, it is likely to come since there are more stories to write about Steven, especially now that he is older and becoming more independent. Besides, it was previously mentioned that the former chubby kid will know more about himself and his new powers, and this time, he will be solving more of his personal conflicts than solve others.
