“The Blacklist” season 6 will continue Raymond “Red” Reddington’s (James Spader) story after it was renewed for a 22-episode run. While the production team has remained very secretive about their progress with filming the show, there are details that are already confirmed and below are things that we know so far.
Filming
“The Blacklist” season 6 began filming late last year but the first of the behind-the-scenes photos were shared in August. Actress Megan Boone (Elizabeth “Liz” Keen) updated her social media account with an image of the shoot. It shows the actors and the crew at a location and filming a scene that involves the FBI and Liz.
Since some shooting photos are already out, fans should feel assured that “The Blacklist” season 6 is indeed coming to tell more stories about the mysterious Red. What’s more, the plot’s interesting twist where it was revealed that Liz is actually Red’s daughter adds more spice that makes the viewers crave more and anticipate the next episodes in the drama.
What to Expect
“The Blacklist” season 6 promises to answer and tie the loose ends in the fifth season’s finale. After Liz found that the human bones in the bag belonged to Raymond Reddington, she also discovered that Red is her father. However, Red is supposed to be dead a long time ago, but to everyone’s knowledge, he is alive and they are even working with him.
This is where the idea of Red being an imposter comes in. Is someone really just pretending to be Raymond Reddington? If that is the case then, he totally fooled everyone. “The Blacklist” season 6 is expected to provide answers and reveal Red’s real identity.
Cast
Apart from James Spader and Megan Boone, “The Blacklist” season 6 will also star Diego Klattenhoff (Donald Ressler), Ryan Eggold (Tom Keen), Harry Lennix (Harold Cooper), Hisham Tawfiq (Dembe), Susan Blommaert (Mr. Kaplan) and Amir Arison (Aram Mojtabai).
Air Date
According to Entertainment Weekly, “The Blacklist” season 6’s premiere was pushed to January 2019. It was added that the series has been scheduled for Friday night telecasts.
