“The Good Doctor” Season 2 Episode 7 is going to be an interesting one because it might be one of those rare occasions where Shaun (Freddie Highmore) is not the sole focus of the episode. He will be sharing the spotlight this time with Claire (Antonia Thomas) who will be asked for the impossible. On that note, the show’s protagonist might also end up killing someone, so things will go back full circle.
In the “The Good Doctor” Season 2 Episode 7 synopsis posted at TV Guide, it would appear that both Shaun and Claire are going to find themselves in a rather tough spot. Titled “Hubert,” both doctors will need to make decisions that could cost them everything. Then again, this isn’t really that unusual for this show, where the stakes are almost always high.
“Dr. Shaun Murphy and Dr. Morgan Reznick must contend with two brothers who are bargaining over life and death. Meanwhile, Dr. Claire Brown's friend who is dying of cancer asks her for something she doesn't think she can give her; and Dr. Aaron Glassman is dealing with the effects of his treatment,” the synopsis reads.
The part about Dr. Glassman (Richard Schiff) getting better in “The Good Doctor” Season 2 Episode 7 is great to hear, as well, since he is something of a pillar for the series. As CarterMatt notes, it’s unlikely for the writers to get rid of Shaun’s sponsor any time soon, but fans have been feeling anxious about his fate for some time.
As for what awaits Shaun and Claire in “The Good Doctor” Season 2 Episode 7, the two could make unfortunate decisions that could come with very real consequences for them. Their careers could even be in jeopardy depending on what they decide. Fans will see what the outcome of their choices will be when the episode airs on Nov. 12.
