“For Honor” gamers are getting an all-new expansion, titled “Marching Fire,” this year, Ubisoft announced at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2018 happening this week.

Ubisoft refers to the DLC as the “biggest and most ambitious” addition of new content to “For Honor.” And like in previous post-launch DLC, the developers are introducing a new faction, a set of new heroes, and a new way to play in 4v4 mode.

“Marching Fire” introduces the Wu Lin faction, which is composed of warriors originating from China. “Four Wu Lin warriors now travel West seeking vengeance from war, betrayal, and personal tragedies. They fight to claim their rightful place in the next Dynasty,” Ubisoft says in a teaser.

The Wu Lin faction is composed of four new heroes, namely the Shaolin, the Tiandi, the Jiang Jun, and the Nuxia.

The Shaolin heroes are monks who have mastered a “monkey-like” fighting style. But despite having the combat skills, as monks, they say their written prayers wherever they go. The Tiandi heroes, meanwhile, are royal guards who fight best with the Dao blade.

If players want strategy masters, they should opt for the Jiang Jun heroes because they are seasoned generals of Chinese armies. Lastly, the Nuxia heroes are good dancers and that talent helps them disguise their true assassin nature before they find the best time to attack.

Meanwhile, the new 4v4 mode in “For Honor: Marching Fire” is called Breach. True to its name, the new game mode revolves around a castle siege incident. Depending on chosen game roles, players should successfully invade the castle or be part of the team that protects it.

Breach will arrive with three new gameplay maps that Ubisoft promised will bring “an adrenaline-fused layer of depth to the game.”

To encourage more gamers to play “For Honor: Marching Fire,” Ubisoft announced that the base game can be downloaded for free on the PC exclusively through Uplay until June 18.

“Marching Fire” will be released on Oct. 16.
