Postdoctoral Fellow with the School of the Environment, Trent University
I am a food systems researcher with a particular focus on household food insecurity, community food organizations, urban agriculture, and their intersections with income and gender. My PhD (Canadian Studies, Trent University) explored the household food work of low-income mothers in Peterborough, ON and the ways in which local food programs did or could support them in this work. I am pleased to now be working with Trent University and the Peterborough community researching the effects of the global pandemic on local food access and food practices, and the implications for programs and policies for both eaters and producers.
