I am a playwright and academic whose work has been staged at the Donmar Warehouse, The Bush Theatre, Hampstead Theatre and Sheffield Theatres as well as writing for BBC Radios 3,4 and World Service. I have taught in University of Cambridge, Birmingham and currently oversee the Scriptwriting MA at the University of East Anglia; I have a PGCE in English and MA in Playwriting from Birmingham (1993); I have written for the New Statesman and The Guardian - and my plays are published by Nick Hern Books as is my monograph 'The Secret Life of Plays (2010)
