AMD's Ryzen 8000G ‘Hawk Point’ APUs Will Include USB4 Support On Some AM5 Motherboards
According to Benchlife, manufacturers aim to add USB4 onto AM5 motherboards that will target AMD's Ryzen 8000G desktop APUs. According to the site, businesses like Gigabyte may manufacture motherboards with USB4 transmission capabilities, which AMD has lacked since Intel had already integrated the transfer standard with its 11th Generation range, but AMD was nowhere to be seen.
USB4 compatibility was available via add-in cards like those from MSI, but the platform has yet to receive genuine AM5 support. News of USB4 capability on AMD AM5 motherboards first surfaced a few months ago, when AMD CEO Lisa Su visited various Taiwanese manufacturers with the goal of achieving USB4 support on desktop CPUs.
It was previously said that the Taiwanese business Asmedia would be in charge of delivering Thunderbolt 4 capability to the AMD platform, but no progress has been seen since then. To summarize Thunderbolt 4 (USB4) characteristics, the new interface allows transfer rates of up to 40 GB/s.

The main difference between this generation and previous generations is the addition of port extension, which allows many devices to be connected to a single Thunderbolt 4 dock at the same time, as per WCCFTech. USB4 is likely to make its debut on AMD's AM5 platform with the introduction of their next Ryzen 8000G "Hawk Point" APU family.
