ASICS America has signed world 100-meter sprint champion Fred Kerley has signed a deal believed to be a multi-year contract.
The athletic footwear and apparel company took to its social media pages to share the news, saying: “We are beyond excited to welcome Track & Field superstar @fkerley99 to the ASICS family.
Kerley won the gold medal in the 100 meters at the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Oregon and a silver medal at the Tokyo Olympic Games. He also won several medals at the World Championships in the 400 m and 4 × 400 m relay, including a bronze and a relay gold in 2019 and is a two-time Diamond League Champion.
The 27-year-old American sprinter is will defend his 100-meter title at the upcoming 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
Kerley will join American middle-distance runner Donavan Brazier and Japanese tennis star Naomi Osaka other and other high-profile athletes in endorsing ASICS products.
