Aave V4’s Equities Hub on Base lets eligible users in permitted jurisdictions outside the United States pledge a Coinbase certificate tied to SpaceX shares to borrow USD Coin (USDC).

Coinbase issues SPCXc as a certificate tied to SpaceX Class A common stock.

At its Sept. 25 launch, the hub accepted seven tokenized U.S. technology stocks as collateral, with USDC as the sole borrowing option. Borrowers cannot take the stock tokens out as loans. The Equities Hub runs separately from Aave’s other lending pools.

That structure gives eligible users access to USDC liquidity while preserving exposure to the shares represented by the certificates. The SPCXc addition to Aave’s Base market followed an earlier proposal from Aave Labs.
