Adidas and Gucci have previously announced their collaboration, but the companies did not say they will be unveiling their fashion items at the recent 2022 Oscars. This was why the release was really surprising, and the event was a secret launch indeed.
Adidas and Gucci sneakily launched their fashion items during the afterparty of The Academy Awards that took place earlier this week, on March 28. A-list personalities were at the party that turned out to be an Adidas x Gucci collaborative grand reveal.
Based on a report, the Adidas X Gucci is one of the biggest collabs in the fashion world this year. The team-up was first seen at Gucci's "Exquisite" Fall/Winter 2022 runway last month at the Milan Fashion Week, but the companies have been secretive as there are barely any details about their collection items.
Now, at Gucci's 14th annual "The Party" that celebrated the Academy Awards at the home of Guy Oseary, the Adidas X Gucci headwears were spotted and caught special attention from the star-studded guest list.
Bucket hats and baseball caps in thematic Adidas and Gucci wrapping have debuted at the party. These were said to be the items' first appearance prior to their official release in June. While some of the headwear was already revealed, the most anticipated Adidas x Gucci sneakers were a no-show.
The sneakers are said to be the most talked-about among the fashion collection, but these have yet to surface in public. It was predicted that the hype on Adidas x Gucci sneakers will explode in summer when they finally arrive.
GQ Magazine reported that the first few pieces from the Adidas x Gucci collection were given to some of the A-list The Party attendees, including Taylor Swift, Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert Pattinson, Andrew Garfield, Chris Rock, Kim and Khloe Kardashian, and other guests. They had the privilege to choose which of the items they want; however, the items are not yet available for sale.
Finally, the prices of each product in the collection, as well as the exact release date, have yet to be announced by Adidas and Gucci.
