NEW YORK, Sept. 13, 2016 -- AdvantageCare Physicians (ACPNY), one of the largest multispecialty practices in the New York metropolitan area and partner, EmblemHealth, announced today the appointment of Navarra Rodriguez, M.D. to the position of its President and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at ACPNY and Officer of EmblemHealth. As President and CMO of ACPNY, Dr. Rodriguez will oversee all medical leadership and health improvement activities for the practice.

With more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Rodriguez is a practicing board certified Internal Medicine physician, and will continue to see patients. Most recently she was the Chief Population Health Officer for ACPNY, and she served as its Chief Medical Informatics Officer. She led the organizations transformation from traditional fee-for-service to patient-centric population health management with the implementation of one of the industry’s most advanced electronic health record (EHR) systems. Additionally, she has been responsible for the integration of advanced clinical protocols, driving success for ACPNY’s population health management care model. Before joining ACPNY, she served as the Chief Medical Officer for the Manhattan Physician’s Group.
