The season 3 finale of “Agents Of Shield” was full of fiery scenes and deaths, and once again Daisy is in a position where she blames herself for the consequences of the choices she made. Perhaps the most surprising detail of them all though is the scene which the International Business Times suggest might be a hint for the potential season 4 bad guy.
The scene in question involves Radcliffe who activated a program during the finale. The program is designated “LMD Phase 1” where LMD stands for Life-Model Decoy. As anyone who has read Marvel comics will know, LMDs can be bad news, particularly if they decide to turn on their creators; which has happened a lot in the comics.
In an interview with IGN, Jed Whedon, the executive producer of the show, hints that the motivations behind Radcliffe’s actions are fundamentally good. He sees how many friends Fitz and Simmons have lost, and he believes that they could have been saved.
Regarding the fate of Lincoln and the villain Hive, many have speculated and some are still speculating that they are still alive. However, Entertainment Weekly recently reported that this is not likely the case. Hive is gone and the same goes for Lincoln.
For those who noted the similarity between the farewell scene between Daisy and Lincoln with Captain America’s Peggy and Capt. Steve Rogers, the minds behind the show denied that they were trying to copy the scene. The scene was meant to build on the drama that has been increasing over the last several episodes until it finally culminated in the characters saying goodbye to one another.
Aside from the hints regarding the new villain, it’s also expected that at least in the beginning, Daisy’s feelings of guilt will be one of the major plot points for the next season. Season 4 of “Agents Of Shield” is expected to premier in the fall on ABC.
