Amazon announced it has 33,000 job openings for corporate and tech roles with an average annual pay of $150,000, including salary, stock-based compensation, and benefits.
The company said its Amazon's Operations network will share "thousands of additional hourly roles" soon.
Some of the hirings for these posts would be done through Amazon's Career Day, where 1,000 Amazon recruiters would offer 20,000 career coaching sessions for all levels of experience, professional fields, or backgrounds.
The event intends to provide jobs to applicants regardless of whether they are looking to get hired by Amazon or another company.
Career Day is designed to support job seekers at such time that Covid-19 left people unemployed and searching for new jobs.
An Amazon survey revealed that 53 percent of Americans had been forced to look for new jobs because of Covid-19.
Amazon has already hired over 175,000 during the pandemic to help meet surging demand for delivery.
Amazon said in August that it plans to hire 3,500 additional workers in cities across the US. It also announced that it is putting up a new grocery store equipped with smart devices.
The tech company is also in talks with Simon Property Group to convert former or current JCPenney and Sears stores into distribution hubs.
