Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are in the middle of a court battle with regards to their child custody and divorce cases. Unfortunately, their battle has been messy and loud since they hurled bitter words against each other as they try to finalize their separation.
In early August, Angelina Jolie accused Brad Pitt of not paying for child support and let out some harsh words. The latter responded and made a counter by accusing his ex of using their separation to gain public attention. The “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” actor called her actions as a mere publicity stunt and denied that he was not paying for child support.
Their feud escalated and was widely reported so for at least a week, the whole world knows about their bitter exchanges. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt might have realized that they are giving a bad example and so the news quieted down when they decided to call a truce.
In September, they headed to court to reach a settlement and things have been going well so far. Entertainment Tonight also reported that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie decided to be more amicable this time as they go through the process of their divorce case.
As reported, Brad and Angelina are set to appear in court in order to find a solution and resolved their child custody this month. They want a joint custody of their kids Maddox, 17, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 10.
“Both parties are working together to try and reach an out-of-court settlement and avoid an actual trial,” the source told the magazine. “Both parties want what’s best for the kids.”
It was added that the former “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” co-stars have secret meetings in Angelina’s house to talk about what’s best for their children and sort out their conflict as well.
"It’s the first time they have truly gotten together to make things work since their group therapy with the children. Brad and Angie’s meeting was a success,” the insider shared. “They are going to stay with the plan set forth through the courts."
Finally, it was added that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are trying to negotiate on what to do this upcoming Thanksgiving, Christmas and the other holidays. They both want time with their children, and they are expected to reach an agreeable arrangement when they go on trial before the holidays.
