The tech giant behind the game-changing “iPhone” is interested in turning the tables in the tech industry yet again, as Apple’s new ad for the “iPad Pro” markets the tablet as a computer. This is a clear attempt by the company to reconfigure the view of people regarding the product, which is often considered as a tablet.
The title of the ad was "What’s a Computer?” and it lasted for about 30 seconds, Mashable reports. Within those 30 seconds, Apple showcased the “iPad Pro” as well as the accessories that come with it. These include the “Smart Keyboard” and the “Apple Pencil.”
The ad smoothly showcased the potential of the tablet to provide users with all the processing power and features they could need from a workable personal computer, which can also be transported anywhere without a problem.
“Just when you think you know what a computer is,” the announcer says in the commercial, “you see a keyboard that can just get out of the way and a screen you can touch and even write on.”
The ad comes just after Apple released their quarterly financial reports, which was still disappointing, but featured the bright light of an increase in “iPad” sales. With this being the case, it would seem that the tech company is intent on pushing for more sales of the “iPad Pro,” and it is going to do so by marketing the product to as many customers as possible.
As Tech Crunch notes, there is definitely potential in what Apple is trying to do as the use of PC has been in decline ever since smartphones came on the scene. These days, people are using their computers for work or for activities that require more power than what tablets or smartphones have been able to provide.
If Apple can successfully convince millions that they can ditch their cumbersome computers for a smaller, more portable unit that they can do their work on, its sales numbers might just go up like a firecracker.
