Many people know that September is one of the biggest months for Apple. The company is expected to announce several new devices in the coming weeks, but recent reports of production issues suggest Apple Watch Series 7 might end up being excluded from the next launch event.
Apple Watch Series 7 release date
A new Apple Watch usually joins the new iPhones in the same event in previous years, except in 2020 when Apple adjusted its timelines due to the pandemic. But the Apple Watch Series 7 might be another special case as Apple’s suppliers are reportedly facing production challenges.
First, it is worth noting that the Apple Watch Series 7 is rumored to ship with bigger displays -- 41mm and 45mm. However, this update might end up causing the product to be delayed.
Bloomberg reported that Apple’s suppliers needed to adjust to the demands for Apple Watch Series 7’s bigger displays. Manufacturers have purportedly encountered issues due to this change.
Nikkei also reported on the potential Apple Watch Series 7 delay. Its sources said manufacturers have started a small-scale production of the smartwatch but they were unable to reach a satisfactory output.
It is unclear yet how much this would affect the Apple Watch Series 7 launch timeline. One possibility is for Apple to ultimately exclude the new watches in its anticipated event in mid-September.
Another likely scenario is for Apple to carry on with announcing Apple Watch Series 7 this month but with a much later retail launch date. On the bright side, neither of the reports implied that the next Apple Watch might miss a 2021 release date.
Does Apple Watch Series 7 have blood pressure monitoring?
The featured health trackers in the Apple Watch Series 7 are still unclear as well. There are reports that while a non-invasive blood glucose monitoring will not be available this year, Apple might finally ship smartwatches with blood pressure monitoring.
no chance

However, noted Apple insider Mark Gurman has said definitively that the upcoming watches do not have the capability to monitor blood pressure. Meanwhile, there are other upgrades anticipated to launch on the Apple Watch Series 7, such as a new and faster processor.
