‘Arrow’ season 5’s episode 10 returns on The CW next year and is titled “Who Are You?” It was also revealed that Katie Cassidy’s Laurel Lance is actually alive and well and is set to return in the mid-season premiere.
According to details shared by executive producer Marc Guggenheim posted on Comicbook.com, the incoming mid-season premiere is titled “Who Are You?” and was directed by Gregory Smith and written by Ben Skolowski and Brian Ford Sullivan. It was filmed from October 21 through November 1, 2016 and was produced by DC Entertainment and Berlanti Productions.
The upcoming episode is set to pick up after the events of episode 9, titled "What We Leave Behind," which featured Oliver (Stephen Amell) accidentally killing Felicity’s (Emily Bett Rickards) boyfriend Billy Malone (Tyler Ritter) during his pursuit of the villainous Prometheus. Prometheus set up Billy as himself as a means to trick Oliver.
Although Felicity may not hold this against Oliver, it is highly likely that Billy’s death will take a toll on her mental and emotional state, according to Cartermatt. Perhaps a darker Felicity will emerge in the aftermath.
Meanwhile, executive producer Wendy Mericle confirmed that Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) is alive during a TV Guide interview. According to Moviepilot, Mericle said, "Episode 510 definitely, our midseason premiere. Keep your eyes out for that. We’re so excited about getting to work with [Cassidy] again and her willingness to come back.”
Mericle continued, “I can definitely tell you that there’s a way we’re going to bring her back and she’s going to be alive and well. And Flashpoint might have a little bit to do with that."
Laurel was supposedly killed off in the fourth season and the decision to bring the character back went well with fans of the series. Guggenheim originally claimed that Laurel Lance of Earth-1 will remain dead. It was speculated that the new character is actually Laurel’s Earth-2 doppelgänger Black Siren.
‘Arrow’ season 5’s episode 10, titled “Who Are You?” is set to air on The CW on January 25, 2017. It will be followed by episode 11, titled "Second Chances.”
