SEATTLE, Oct. 30, 2017 -- Atossa Genetics Inc. (NASDAQ:ATOS) (“Atossa” or the “Company”), a clinical-stage pharmaceutical company developing novel therapeutics and delivery methods for breast cancer and other breast conditions, announced today the closing of its previously announced underwritten public offering of 11,500,000 shares of common stock at a public offering price of $0.44 per share, as well as a concurrent closing of 1,000,000 additional shares of common stock pursuant to the exercise in full of the over-allotment option granted to the underwriters.
Gross proceeds, before underwriting discounts and commissions and estimated offering costs, were approximately $5.5 million. Atossa intends to use the net proceeds for general corporate purposes.
Maxim Group LLC acted as sole book-running manager for the offering.
