“Attack on Titan” season 3 episode 1 is one of the most anticipated anime installments this year. Fans are very excited for its premiere, so they were gifted with an advance screening of the third season’s first episode. The preview was shown on July 8 on the last day of the 2018 Anime Expo in Los Angeles.
It appears that the newest season of the much-awaited TV series is set to premiere in the U.S. first before its country of origin, Japan. This information was revealed by the anime’s producer, Kensuke Tateishi, via social media.
On July 4, he tweeted, “We are very sorry Japan, but we are going to have a world premiere in Los Angeles for the ‘Attack on Titan’ season 3 anime.”
With the announcement and advance preview of “Attack on Titan” season 3 episode 1, it is apparent that the show is returning to broadcast very soon. Once it resumes, it is expected to complete the upcoming season with 24 episodes, Otakukart reported.
When season 2 concluded last year, the scouts reorganized themselves, and Eren learned that he has the ability to control other titans. It turns out that he is the ‘Coordinate,’ someone that serves as a merging point for all the Titans.
In season 3, the story on Eren’s newly discovered ability is likely to be further explored. His fellow scouts now believe that he can fix the damaged wall by simply using his power to keep the humans safe and prevent more Titans from being formed.
“Attack on Titan” season 3 episode 1 is officially arriving in select U.S. theaters on July 10 and 11. During this two-day showing, the anime’s distributor, Funimation Films, will also play the “Attack on Titan: The Roar of Awakening” season 2 recap movie across the United States and Canada. Then finally, on July 22, the anime series is set to premiere on television in Japan.
