“Attack on Titan” season 3 Episode 8 is looking to be the season's big fight as Eren and Historia's titans are looking to be unleashed by Lord Reiss' plans. But the episode 8 preview seems to have thrown a curveball for fans of the series.
Fans will remember that “Attack on Titan” season 3 episode 7 was a test of wills between Lord Reiss and his daughter Historia with Eren caught in the middle due to his father's sins. Lord Reiss's ultimate goal was to recover the Reiss family bloodline's Titan power, which could supposedly be used to wipe out the Titans once and for all. This power was stolen by Eren's father from Historia's half-sister, Frieda. But Historia may not want to be pushed around by her father for his own schemes.
Breaking her bonds and freeing Eren as well, Historia may work against her father in the upcoming episode as Levi's own Scout Corps squad run to their rescue. But it seems that Lord Reiss is won't be done with his vengeance on Eren and his daughter's own betrayal. The “Attack on Titan” season 3 episode 8 preview mentions Lord Reiss turning into a Titan himself.
Fans can only speculate on how dangerous this would be if the characters are trapped in Lord Reiss's cave complex while Rod Reiss grows to become a titan himself. There is a potential for Levi's squad to sustain casualties if the killing of fellow humans during the last episode hasn't killed their souls yet.
Fans who thought the showdown of the series was going to be in the previous episode and are now excited for what is looking to be the series's big battle can look forward to “Attack on Titan” season 3 episode 8. The upcoming episode will air on its weekly Monday schedule on Sept. 10. Fans who want to stream the episode can watch “Attack on Titan” on Crunchyroll.
