“Avatar 2” is one of the most much-awaited movies out there but unfortunately, its release has been delayed. The main reason for the long wait is the fact that James Cameron has been simultaneously filming the three sequels of the movie. Yes, the next three installments of “Avatar” is currently being filmed all at the same time.
Now, when “Avatar 2” arrives, fans are likely to see many original cast members returning to reprise their roles. However, there would be people who will not be around anymore while others have been added to the new cast lineup.
According to Screen Rant, “Avatar 2” will return with Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, Giovanni Ribisi, Joel David Moore, Dileep Rao, CCH Pounder, Matt Gerald, Cliff Curtis, Duane Evans Jr., Jamie Flatters, Jack Champion, Britain Dalton, Trinity Bliss, and Filip Geljo. They will reprise their original roles while Sigourney Weaver is returning with a different character.
So far, almost everyone is coming back to “Avatar 2.” On the other hand, James Cameron added Kate Winslet to play as one of the Sea People, Jack Champion as Javier Socorro, a human in the movie and Oona Chaplin.
As for the storyline of “Avatar 2,” not much is being shared about it but it is widely known now that James Cameron has been filming underwater scenes. Many are suggesting that the second sequel is going to present a story about the Na vi’s underwater culture.
Meanwhile, “Avatar 2” is set to be released on Dec. 18, 2020. As mentioned on EconoTimes, James Cameron confirmed that they are already done filming and now busy with the third, fourth and fifth sequels. This means that starting 2020 fans will be treated to a new “Avatar” movie every year.
