BTS is still being talked about although they are inactive for a few weeks now. The group is on vacation but their unbelievable fame is still putting them on the headlines.
It was reported this week that BTS has broken event cinema records for the second time for their film “Bring the Soul: The Movie.” This was released by Big Hit Entertainment and Trafalgar on Aug. 7 and was shown until Aug. 11. The latter was responsible for the film’s distribution overseas and it was reported to have been distributed to at least 112 countries worldwide.
The BTS’ movies’ ticket sales
According to Forbes, BTS latest film brought in $24.3 Million which broke the box-office record. It was added that this amount was collected for a total of 2.55 million tickets sold around the globe. “Bring the Soul: The Movie” actually achieved two records, one is for the total gross and the second is for being the widest ever released event cinema title.
BTS topped their own cinema record
With the $24.3 million earnings, BTS’ “Bring the Soul: The Movie” defeated another movie in the box office. The interesting thing is that the group surpassed their own film “Burn the Stage” that reportedly earned around $18.5 million. This was their first movie to be released and it is in a documentary format as well.
The Hollywood Reporter reported that “Bring the Soul” racked up $4.5 million in the opening in U.S. cinemas and placed third in the box office opening weekend while “Burn the Stage” opened with $13 million worldwide. As can be seen, the second film had more than twice the number of the first so it was a great feat.
“Bring the Soul” showed the world’s hottest boy band’s behind-the-scenes as they prepare and presented their “Love Yourself” stages via a world tour. This was filmed in Paris in October 2018 and as a bonus, clips while they enjoy the country after their concerts were also featured.
BTS is on break and it was said that the group will be back to promote after two months. They are expected to continue with their tour and probably, release a new track or album.
