BTS V has made another history amid the coronavirus pandemic. This only proves that no matter how hard the situation may be, his popularity never dwindled.
The Amazon Best-selling Song Chart
The 24-year-old BTS member became the first Korean artist to rank in the top 3 in the US Amazon’s Bestseller song chart. He is actually the only Korean solo singer who managed to achieve this record.
It was reported that BTS V made it to the top spots with his songs “Inner Child” and two versions of “Sweet Night.” By placing in the top 3, he beat Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s “Rain on Me.”
The idol singer’s biggest fanbase on social media, with over 700,000 followers, was the one that informed the other fans that their favorite artist has a new accomplishment this week. In a simple tweet, the admin of the fanbase wrote, “Kim Taehyung becomes the 1st ever Korean soloist to occupy all Top 3 ranks in US Amazon Bestseller song chart with ‘Inner Child’ and both versions of ‘Sweet Night.’”
It was explained that Amazon's chart determines the ranking by the number of digital units sold in the US. It was an amazing feat because he defeated American singers in their own country, but it was said that this was made possible since BTS V has many American fans as well.
V’s fans support the #BlackLivesMatter movement
In other news, it was reported that BTS V's fanbases had made donations to support the #BlackLivesMatter movement. With their move, they have clearly joined the fight against racial discrimination and violence.
As mentioned on Allkpop, the on-going nationwide protests in the United States have stirred reactions from people around the world, and they have expressed their outrage on the death of George Floyd as well.
Aside from donating, BTS V's fans are also doing their part in this protest by encouraging others to show their support too. So far, they have actively contribute not just through donations but by speaking up and support what is right. Most of them have also signed the Justice For George Floyd petition, and V must be proud of them.
