It will still take a long time before “Better Call Saul” season 5 goes on air. But many fans have started formulating their speculations the next episodes would show how Kim Wexler (Rhea Seehorn) and Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) would break up.
The “Breaking Bad” prequel series is popular for its very complex story composed of interlinking plots between a number of characters. With that said, the producers and writers are also doing a great job of keeping the next events secret. But that does not stop avid fans from speculating on “Better Call Saul” season 5.
By the end of season 4, it was already confirmed that Jimmy is on his way to practicing under a different name. Though the name Saul Goodman was not definitively mentioned, fans already know where this is going. Meanwhile, Kim’s celebration of Jimmy’s reinstatement was cut short by that announcement. This major change will definitely greatly affect their relationship in “Better Call Saul” season 5.
That leads to fans’ predictions that “Better Call Saul” season 5 will show the break up of Kim and Jimmy. Though it is unclear who is going to initiate the breakup, seeing them part ways for good is one very plausible way to explain why Kim was a no-show and was never even mentioned in Saul’s “Breaking Bad” timeline.
The manner of Kim’s departure is still a mystery. Of course, fans do not discount the possibility of her death. But Seehorn recently hinted at many other worse ways for Kim to go other than dying. Though, it is uncertain if any of that happens in “Better Call Saul” season 5.
“There are ends to Kim's story that at this point would be worse than death. Some of those would be quite tragic,” Seehorn told the L.A. Times. “There are stories I could envision where she stayed with Jimmy and became something that's tragic.” “Better Call Saul” season 5 will be released sometime in 2020.
