The wait for “Black Clover” episode 133 might be over in a few weeks. The anime has gone on hiatus due to COVID-19, but it is now reported to come back on the air with new episodes starting next month.
‘Black Clover’ episode 133 release date set in early July?
“Black Clover” joined the list of shows that got postponed since April after the Japanese government imposed a nationwide state of emergency as COVID-19 cases increased in the country. Since then, many postponed shows have been announced to return in summer, and it appears that “Black Clover” episode 133 will be one of them as well.
Spytrue reported over the weekend that the anime will return on the first Tuesday of July. This means “Black Clover” episode 133 will be released on July 7, and fans will finally learn what happens to the intense training session of the Magic Knights.

Fans should still note that the producers of “Black Clover” have yet to make an official announcement about “Black Clover” episode 133’s release date. It is then advised to take this with a pinch of salt. However, Spytrue has been known as a reliable leaker in the anime community so it would not hurt to hope that the show is coming back in a few weeks.
‘Black Clover’ episode 132 recap: What happens next?
Many weeks have passed since the wait for “Black Clover” episode 133 started, so fans might have to review the latest events in the anime especially since it is part of an anime-original arc. It can be recalled that Mereoleona practically kidnapped the Black Bulls to have them train with Crimson Lions in an underground volcanic trail. The main challenge was for the Magic Knights to learn to control their mana, and most of them have gotten the hang of it immediately.
However, an unexpected threat emerged in the end that somehow surprised even Mereoleona, who planned the entire training exercise. The only clue fans have for now is that the threat in “Black Clover” episode 133 might have something to do with an ancient curse.
Noelle, Asta, and Leopold already got some action in episode 132 after tackling a giant spider and being the first ones to reach the depth of the trail without burning their mana skin. Based on the potential danger in “Black Clover” episode 133, hopefully, other Black Bulls and Crimson Lions get their moment to shine and develop their skills in the ongoing training.
