The current arc is focused on and named after Jugo who has been struggling to keep his cursed seal under control. Due to Tosaka sabotaging the efforts of Boruto and his friends, Jugo is set to become a complete monster in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 103. The teasers show that it would be up to the titular protagonist to stop Jugo from causing severe damages. Some fans have an idea of how he might be able to do it.
While the current arc primarily revolves around Jugo, it has been apparent that the anime series is paving the way to tackle another ability of Boruto — using a cursed seal. The synopsis for “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 103 seemingly hints at Boruto having no other option but to activate his seal.
Fans may recall that Boruto acquired his kama seal after defeating Momoshiki Otsutsuki in episode 65 of the anime series. In the following installment, it was shown that when not in use, the seal appears as a black diamond figure on Boruto’s right hand. As for “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 103, the synopsis (via @OrganicDinosaur) indicates that a “monster” Jugo will push Boruto to a “desperate situation.”
After Boruto’s fight with Momoshiki, the latter warned Naruto’s son that everything will change in his life after winning that battle. It was also most likely foreshadowing the drastic effects of the seal on Boruto. In the following episode, Boruto unveiled the seal on his right hand with an obvious look of uncertainty. He might have been wondering whether or not it would do him good to use this power again. The “desperate situation” could then be Boruto activating his seal in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 103 to tame Jugo. This would be a thrilling turn of events for the anime series, but note that it is mere speculation at this point.
Aside from Boruto, Sarada also faces a daunting task of capturing all birds injected with the cursed seal before they migrate. “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 103 is slated to air on Sunday, April 21.
