The series filler arc involving Chocho Akimichi and her team will continue in “Boruto” Episode 68. Those who might not be enjoying this interruption won’t have to wait long for it to end. For those who have been enjoying the break from the intense and gripping main story, however, there are more twists coming up. Tomaru could end up being a traitor, for example, which would be unsurprising. [Beware of Spoilers.]
In the previous episode, viewers saw a lot of surprising things about Chocho that they may not have been expecting. For example, she was able to use her family’s Butterfly technique with ease and without the help of a pill, as The Anime Scrolls recently pointed out. This shows how talented the next generation of the Akimichi clan is, which should be featured more in “Boruto” Episode 68.
Along with her talent in combat, Chocho’s appearance also changed as a result of the technique, which prompted the actor Tomaru to suggest that she replace his injured partner in a romantic scene. Chocho and her team foiled an attack on the pair, who are currently under their protection. As such, “Boruto” Episode 68 could see Chocho’s first kiss with a rather handsome fellow.
On the other hand, everything could end in disaster. As OtakuArt recently pointed out, Tomaru could just as easily be a villain in this filler arc. There are no concrete reasons as to why this might be the case, but it wouldn’t be completely surprising. Anyone who has been watching anime for a long time will quickly see the pattern of the handsome character pretending to be a victim while being an enemy all along. “Boruto” Episode 68 could expose him as such.
“Boruto” Episode 68, which will be titled “Super Chocho Kiss Mode!” will air on August 9. Fans are encouraged to watch it via official sites such as Crunchyroll.
