“Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 68 is still part of the Chocho Akimichi arc. But is it going to be the episode where Chocho and Boruto’s ninja friends get to see that Tomaru is more than just a handsome actor?
As Chocho made perfectly obvious, she is in love with Tomaru, the handsome actor introduced in episode 67. Team 7 and Team 10 are tasked to protect him and his co-star, Ashina, after they received a death threat. However, there is something sketchy about Tomaru that is possibly going to be revealed in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 68.
In episode 67, Chocho used the butterfly transformation technique of the Akimichi clan. Because of it, Chocho dons a slimmer figure even in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 68. Coincidentally, Chocho experienced some love-at-first-sight magic upon meeting Tomaru. So she ends up keeping her transformation all the time.
However, Tomaru has been a huge distraction for Chocho so far. In fact, Boruto and his friends could have caught the masked ninja in episode 67 had Chocho not compromised her attack by choosing to revert to her slimmer body. The distractions are likely to be more overwhelming for Chocho in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 68 now that Tomaru insisted that she take the acting role of the injured Ashina. Putting the puzzle pieces together, Tomaru absurdly took such a huge interest in Chocho that the distractions he is causing almost seem intentional.
As for “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 68, the attacker has not yet been caught and the source of the death threat is still unknown. But the Chocho arc is expected to be relatively short so more details about the bad guys, and whether or not Tomaru is one of them, are likely to be revealed in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 68.
Fast forward to the next events in the anime series, reports have it that a Metal Lee-focused arc will be featured starting in episode 70. But before that, fans can finally watch “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 68 on Aug. 9.
