Many interesting plot theories are now up with still a week left before “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" episode 76 is officially released. One speculation suggests that, in the end, Boruto will be the one to analyze Mitsuki’s snake after learning the Sage Art.
Boruto and his friends have been on the journey of finding Mitsuki, which continues in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" episode 76. But to do that, he first needs to understand Mitsuki’s snake. Since he does not have any powers in summoning snakes (yet), Boruto has been seeking others' help.
He went inside Orochimaru's lab. Their meeting then led him to Ryuchi Cave. In the upcoming “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" episode 76, he is going to embark on an impossible task for the White Snake Sage.
However, did some of the events in previous episodes foreshadow the plot that Boruto will eventually be the one to analyze Mitsuki’s snake? Some theories on “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" episode 76 suggest it did.
For a recap, White Snake Sage only agreed to analyze Mitsuki’s snake after Boruto deals with Garaga in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" episode 76. The White Snake Sage is obviously one of the best summoners of snakes in the franchise, and even Orochimaru suggested that Boruto find her in order to locate Mitsuki. So it is quite ironic that the old Sage sends Boruto to tame Garaga.
This brings fans to the theory that finding Mitsuki is not just a filler arc in the anime series. And whatever happens once Boruto faces Garaga in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" episode 76 could lead to the titular character’s new power of summoning snakes as well.
Fans may also remember that the White Snake Sage already told Boruto that she is meant to teach him the Sage Art only after finishing the three trials of Ryuchi Cave. Fans have also noticed that Garaga has a permanently injured right eye, which might not be coincidental with that fact that Boruto’s Jogan is in his right eye as well. Hopefully, this mystery will be explored somehow in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" episode 76.
Apart from the exciting face-off of Boruto and Garaga in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" episode 76, some reports suggest that a surprise appearance might also occur. Some suggest that while on the mission of taming Garaga and collecting its Reverse Scale, Sasuke’s summon snake Aoda might return.
Sarada is Sasuke’s daughter while Boruto is Sasuke’s student. In the Fourth Great Shinobi War, fans saw just how loyal Aoda is to Sasuke. So there are theories that Aoda might pick up the scent of Sarada and Boruto once they are in danger due to the challenge ahead, prompting Aoda to appear in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" episode 76.
The anime series is still on hiatus this week. With that, “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" episode 76 is slated to be released on Sunday, Oct. 7.
