“Brooklyn Nine-Nine” was one of those well-loved shows that NBC saved after being canceled by their original networks. Fans were upset when Fox announced that it was taking out the action-comedy drama from its program lineup. This prompted them to launch a campaign for “BB99” to continue, and they succeeded.
Now, the wait is over since Terry Crews just revealed when “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” season 6 is coming. On Oct. 23, the actor had a live-streaming session with fans via Instagram and it was at that time that he announced the show’s premiere date.
Although he did not say a specific date, Terry Crews shared that fans will get to see “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” season 6 sometime in January 2019. Apart from this, no other detail was shared to avoid spoiling the show. Twitter account Brooklyn 99 Updates re-uploaded the actor’s live-stream event on the platform so fans can watch it again.

Despite the good news, there will be changes in the upcoming installments of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” season 6 and these include changes in the cast.
According to TV Line, Chelsea Peretti confirmed that she will not be a series regular in the sitcom anymore. The actress who has played Gina Linetti since season 1 announced the update about her position on the show via social media. On Oct. 3, she wrote on Twitter, “B99 fans, Chelsea Peretti, here. I won't be doing a full season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine in Season 6.”
She added, “But that doesn’t mean I won’t ever be back. I want to thank you for the hours you spent watching Gina be Gina.”
Fans will not see Gina Linetti often in “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” season 6 but they can still enjoy the same brand of comedy with the skills of the actors who are still on the show. They include Terry Crews (Terry Jeffords), Melissa Fumero (Amy Santiago), Dirk Blocker (Michael Hitchcock), Andy Samberg (Jake Peralta), Andre Braugher (Raymond Holt), Stephanie Beatriz (Rosa Diaz), Joe Lo Truglio (Charles Boyle), and Joel McKinnon Miller (Norm Scully).
