Brazillian investment bank BTG Pactual has rolled out a crypto-trading app dubbed Mynt that customers can utilize for direct Ether and Bitcoin investments.
The bank is also preparing to support more crypto assets, according to Andre Porthilo, the bank’s head of virtual assets.
BTG Pactual has the distinction of being the only investment bank that allows its customers to invest directly into crypto.
The bank's CEO, Robert Sallout, disclosed that since many of their clients showed interest in cryptocurrency investment, they had no choice but to provide access for them.
With many still unaware of the cryptocurrency mechanics, BTG Pactual aims to provide training on the technology and the available cryptocurrency assets.
Before launching Mynt, the investment bank had earlier launched a security token, ReitBZ, backed with real estate, and a Bitcoin 20 Multi-Market investment fund.
BTG Pactual is operating under strict regulations of the Brazilian central bank and its SEC, Sallout emphasized.
