As promised, “Call of Duty: Black Ops 4” Blackout has finally added The Replacer as a playable character in the game’s Battle Royale mode. This is amazing news mostly because it provides fans of both the game and the figure with plenty to celebrate. In the commercials, this character was played by Peter Stormare. His performance and charisma made him an instant favorite among fans.
There is quite a lot about this new story to unpack, as Comic Book notes. Among them is the fact that The Replacer is not a “Call of Duty: Black Ops 4” Blackout skin. Basically, he is an actual playable character that players can access. However, doing so requires payment, which a lot of fans are more than likely to do.
The character is also not included in the “Call of Duty: Black Ops 4” Blackout season pass. This means that the purchase will need to be made separately. Finally, the character will be available on the PS4 first before any other platform. It looks like owners of the Sony console have yet another thing that they can brag about on top of everything else. The console gets new contents earlier than others as part of a deal.
When it was announced that this was actually happening, “Call of Duty: Black Ops 4” Blackout fans went ballistic with glee. Plenty of them had their fun on social media, with many sending out reactions to the upcoming feature. Suffice it to say, The Replacer has a lot of fans.
For those who may not know who The Replacer is, he is basically a character that has been featured in trailers for the game, including “Call of Duty: Black Ops 4” Blackout. He basically acts like someone offering to take over the responsibilities of gamers so that they can focus only on playing. This is why his addition to the game is so highly anticipated.
