Camilla Parker Bowles is set to visit New Zealand next month, and Prince Charles will be with her as well since it is one of their official royal tours. The royal couple is set to go there from Nov. 17 to 23, and this was confirmed by the Clarence House.
“Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall will undertake an official visit to New Zealand between Sunday 17th and Saturday 23rd November at the invitation of the New Zealand Government,” the official statement reads. “This will be Their Royal Highnesses third official joint tour to New Zealand.”
The royal tour of Prince Charles and Camilla
Moreover, as per Hello! Magazine, the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall’s trip to New Zealand will consist of schedules including a tour of Auckland where they will check and learn the programs relating to supporting the youths. It was added that they would also tackle some issues concerning environmental matters.
On the other hand, Camilla will set her focus more on the issues related to women, especially in the area of domestic violence and literacy. It was said that these causes are close to the duchess’ heart, so she will give it more importance during their royal tour in NZ.
The two are also set to meet the Prime Minister of New Zealand, Jacinda Ardern, and the meeting will take place in Auckland. They will probably have this schedule on the first day of their official tour.
Camilla to replicate Meghan Markle’s activities and plans in the NZ visit?
Now, for this royal tour, UK’s Express reported that Camilla Parker Bowles is planning to channel Meghan on the trip. It was said that when the former “Suits” actress was in South Africa recently, she promoted the causes that the Duchess of Cornwall also wants to address, so it will be like a mirror of what the Duchess of Sussex did in her recent royal trip with Prince Harry.
In any case, Camilla will head home earlier than Prince Charles as he will still proceed to visit Tuvalu and the Solomon Islands. He will be there to take part in the celebration of the British Monarchy’s relationship with the said island’s Commonwealth Realms.
