Early childhood education professionals have important jobs with major responsibilities. They are responsible for children’s safety and development, and parents are counting on them. Effective time management is all about understanding what educators need to accomplish in order to succeed. Once a provider reaches that understanding, they can organize the details of their life and get control of their to−do list. It’s all about “planning the work and working the plan.” Good time management allows the provider to organize daily, weekly, and monthly tasks in a way that puts them in control of their to−do list. Without organization and time management, early childhood professionals probably won’t enjoy their job or find much satisfaction in it. Without satisfaction, it will be harder to do a good job, and that can start to show negatively in their job performance.
This course outlines effective time management skills for early childhood education program administrators or directors. Participants will learn how to prioritize deadlines, set goals, and use time more effectively. Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to clearly state their job purpose, list three types of formal and informal planning and create strategies for using time more efficiently.

Users without subscriptions can purchase child care training courses as block hours through CCEI online enrollment.
