Manchester, NH, July 21, 2017 -- On August 8, Coffee House Press will release Little Boxes: Twelve Writers on Television, a collection of essays for people who grew up with television as the primary background noise, and what it means to have that blue glow as part of your cultural DNA. “Twelve writers talk about their influences, and they’re more Magnum, P.I. than Marcel Proust. This is cultural criticism from an enthusiast’s point of view—taking sitcoms and dramedies and very special episodes seriously, not because they’re art, but because they matter to us.” Included in the anthology is the essay “Creek Theses: New Notes on Dawson’s Creek” by Southern New Hampshire University MFA faculty member Justin Taylor. The essay is also being serialized in The Paris Review.
