The lender said the attack drew on accounts it owned and did not affect customer assets; transfers tied to the incident totaled about $112 million.

The bank said attackers used its accounts rather than customer accounts. Some transfers were delayed during the response, but Arkéa said customers suffered no asset losses.

The roughly $112 million figure describes the approximate amount involved, not a confirmed final loss. On Nov. 4, Arkéa said it could confirm only the general scale of blockchain investigator ZachXBT’s earlier estimate while it assessed the financial impact. ZachXBT had estimated that more than $133 million was involved. EconoTimes previously covered Arkéa’s response to ZachXBT’s estimate.

Arkéa said some proceeds had been frozen and that it was coordinating with authorities on recovery. The bank described the incident as contained.
