(Nasdaq:DSPG), a leading global provider of wireless chipset solutions for converged communications, announced today that in light of its strong cash position and its focus on shareholder value, the Company's Board has unanimously authorized the Company to repurchase additional shares of the Company's common stock in an aggregate amount of up to $10 million.
The purchases may be made in open-market transactions, privately negotiated transactions or pursuant to a predefined Rule 10b5-1 plan. In accordance with the Board authorization, share purchases may be made from time to time depending on market conditions, share price, trading volume, the Company's cash needs and other business factors.
Dror Levy, CFO of DSP Group, stated, "During the past twelve months we have fully utilized the buyback program, which the board authorized in August 2016, and repurchased 900,000 shares of our common stock for total consideration of $10 million.”
