PLANO, Texas, April 04, 2017 -- WorldVentures™, the leading direct seller of global travel and leisure club memberships, partnered with Dallas Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee and the Dreambuilders Foundation in 2016 to sponsor Lee’s “Sacks for Kids” initiative benefiting Boys & Girls Clubs of Collin County. Fans Pledge. We Perform. Kids Win.
“Our heart and spirit compels us to give back,” said Wayne Nugent, founder and chief visionary officer of WorldVentures. “On behalf of WorldVentures’ corporate staff and Independent Representatives, I’m proud to present this check to a cause that’s near and dear to our hearts — Sean Lee’s ‘Sacks for Kids’ campaign. A lot of hard work went into this season, and this represents our commitment to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Collin County and to the children in our community.”
Throughout the 2016–2017 National Football League season, fans could pledge any dollar amount per sack by the Dallas Cowboys’ defense. At the end of each game, pledges turned into actual monetary donations to directly benefit the clubs and their programs. By season’s end, the Cowboys had totaled 30 sacks, and 100 percent of the funds raised were paid out to Boys & Girls Clubs of Collin County.
In 2010, the Dallas Cowboys selected Sean Lee in the second round of the NFL draft. In seven years with the NFL, he has become one of the league’s top players.
