“Diablo Immortal” is the mobile app installment to the storied franchise that Blizzard has just announced and it was not received well at all. Fans are making no secret about how much they hate this idea and even publications are chiming in. For its part, it would appear that Blizzard is actually censoring negative comments about the upcoming mobile game.
The negative reception of the announcement of the game by fans is apparent in the YouTube trailer for “Diablo Immortal.” Not only is the comments section flooded with feelings of disgust from gamers, but the dislike bar also counts 137,000 viewers who downvoted the video, as of writing. Clearly, only a few people like the idea of having a mobile version of the game.
What’s more, it would appear that there have been instances where comments expressing negative sentiments regarding “Diablo Immortal” have been removed, Comic Book reports. There have been several instances in the YouTube trailer’s comment section where users have expressed outrage over their deleted comments. Blizzard has not released a statement regarding the matter, so far.
There are also publications who share the same opinion as with the outraged fans who are not happy with this development, at all. Among them is Kotaku, though, their distaste for “Diablo Immortal” is presented with a little more civility. It would appear that one of the biggest issues is the matter of how simplistic the game appears to be.
Since it is a mobile game, it’s only to be expected that there would be some downgrades to “Diablo Immortal.” However, what fans fear the most is Blizzard essentially dumbing it down to unbearable levels just to attract casual players.
“Diablo Immortal” is supposedly coming soon, though, no specific release date has been announced. Considering how the community is responding to this development, Blizzard might think twice about launching the game altogether.
