Donald Trump shocked the nation when he announced a 30-day European travel ban. However, new details regarding his decision have been revealed.
According to Raw Story, the POTUS exempted three European countries from the travel ban possibly due to the fact that this is where he travels to play golf.
“The United Kingdom, which is home to Trump Turnberry and Trump International Golf Links, and Ireland – which is home to another Trump-branded hotel and golf course at Doonbeg – do not participate in the Schengen Area. Bulgaria, Croatia, and Romania are also not part of the Schengen area. All three of the resorts are struggling financially,” they reported.
Trump’s critics, such as Joe Scarborough and Rachel Maddow found the POTUS’s decision to not ban three countries peculiar. After all, some of the Continental European countries included in the ban even had fewer deaths from the coronavirus compared to the United Kingdom.
The UK has a total of 590 coronavirus cases, 10 deaths, and 18 recovered individuals. There are 562 active cases and 542 are classified as mild condition while 20 infected persons are classified as series or critical.
According to Worldometers, 18 patients have recovered from the coronavirus and have been discharged.
According to Political Flare, there is currently no factual justification underlying the exception of Trump’s ban to three European countries other than the fact that he plays golf or has businesses there. But the POTUS’s supporters are still convinced that he is doing the right thing.

Many countries are doing it. @realDonaldTrump was ahead of the curve on this, it’s the reason we are in better shape than our European counterparts. Dems rethink their approach here. #COVID19,” Twitter user @Lockeknows said.
